Welcome to Primary 3
There are 25 pupils in Primary 3 this session and our teacher is Mrs McCracken.
Our PE days are Thursday and Friday, with an outdoor PE slot on Wednesday. We go to the library every Friday to meet with our school librarian and enjoy reading for pleasure.
In class this term, we are reading The Snail and The Whale by Julia Donaldson and much of our literacy work will be related to this text.
We will also be learning about climate and how this affects living things. In Science, we will be exploring food chains and investigating how animals and plants depend on each other for food. Inspired by Henri Matisse, we will be creating our own snail artwork.
We will also be working with a music specialist every Monday as part of the Music Heroes initiative – ‘taking part in music and singing activities is incredibly beneficial for children’s development and well-being’.
A busy term, and year, ahead!
