Welcome to Primary 7Me
We are an enthusiastic class of 23 children! We have 17 boys and 6 girls with Miss Meikle as our teacher! 👩🏼🏫
Our PE days this term are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately when coming to school😁. We have the opportunity to visit the school library on a Monday morning. We can select books to read for enjoyment whilst in class 🤩. We get to read with our Primary 1 Reading Buddies on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon, which we love! We are also attending singing lessons with Mr Thomson on a Wednesday morning with details of our performance to follow 🤩.
We are beyond excited for our year in Primary 7 because we have so many amazing things to look forward to! We cannot wait for the Macmillan Coffee Morning and our Remembrance and Holocaust Memorial assemblies 🤩. However, we are most excited for our trip to Dolphin House 🏠🐬! It will be INCREDIBLE!
Our year in Primary 7 is filled with lots of opportunities to demonstrate leadership. We can apply to be house captains, assembly buddies, lunch monitors and even sports leaders 🤩!
Our IDL topic this term revolves around our class novel, ‘A Kind of Spark’, which will cover different areas of the curriculum, including literacy, social studies, expressive arts, HWB and technologies. We will explore the concepts of neurodiversity, equality and speaking out for those without a voice. We can’t wait to find out what is going to happen in the book!
